We all do it. Run into Target for one thing and come out with a basket-full. It’s a problem, but if you’re saving money, you don’t have to stop, right? 😉 Below are several easy ways to save money at Target.
1. Get the Target debit or credit card (REDcard)
If you don’t need another credit card, no worries! The Target debit card gives you the same important benefit that the credit card does: 5% off!! This is off of each and every purchase you make. It might not seem like a lot, but it adds up over time. Apply for a REDcard today!
2. Download the Target app
SOO many benefits to this app & all you have to do is scan it at the checkout. I’ll break it down:
This section gives you coupons for tons of items throughout the store. It could be 5% off a makeup item, 15% off clothing, or $1 off a grocery item. If you have the Target credit or debit card, that 5% stacks on top of these offers. You can add the offers before shopping or scan items as you shop. Tip: stock up by buying 2-3 of an item when it’s on Cartwheel.
Sometimes, you’ll get a coupon for an extra 5-10% off your total purchase. Other deals could be a free $15 gift card with a $50 household item purchase. These deals stack on top of the 5% with your card as well.
This is for people who do not have the Target debit or credit card. If you scan your app at the checkout, you’ll earn 1% cash back on your total purchase. If you use your Target debit or credit card, you will not receive this cash back, but instead you’ll get your normal 5% off your total, which in my opinion, is a better deal. Target Online Subscriptions
amazing feature not many people know about! You can have the item delivered as often as you’d like. It could be as soon as once a month or once every 6 months! And you can cancel anytime without being penalized. You automatically get 5% off for subscribing, and if you have the Target debit or credit card (you guessed it) you get 5% off on top of that! Tip: subscribe to items that don’t really go on sale & don’t really tend to have Cartwheel offers, that way, you’re always getting a deal.
