Healthy, low-maintenance hair is what I think we all want. Below, are my tips for how to grow long and healthy hair! It’s a lot easier than you’d think!
- C U T : Having your hair cut on a regular basis really keeps it healthy-looking and feeling. It also is key to growing it out faster. Have a trim every 2-4 months. This will remove the dead-ends and keep the hair from just breaking off at the end, causing it to look scraggly. I usually have them take an inch to 2 inches off at a time.
- C O N D I T I O N : probably THE most important thing for keeping your hair healthy! The first thing I do in the shower is wash my hair. Then, I put conditioner on the ends, let it sit, & don’t rinse it out until the very end of my shower. Right now, I’m using Tresemme Color Revitalize Conditioner. For extra conditioning, using a leave-in conditioning product is also great.
- M I N I M A L . H E A T : I rarely curl, blow dry, or straighten my hair. I’ve found that as long as I brush (I linked the special brush I use) or comb my hair after washing it and then let it air dry completely before I go to bed, it always looks great on its own without heat products. Another upside to not using heat is that my hair actually grows faster. Using heat causes damage that makes it grow slower. There are tons of no-heat ways to still get curls & waves!
